An outer burial container, or burial vault, is required today by most cemeteries for earth interments. The primary purpose of the burial vault is to assure families that the casket or urn has a protective barrier to the natural elements. Chapel Hill is licensed to supply modern burial vaults that provide a stable foundation, helping eliminate problems with ground settling over time.
Chapel Hill requirements ensure that all vaults are constructed of steel reinforced concrete employing a two-piece, top-seal design. Vaults are available in a variety of design configurations, and featured here are three of our most popular vaults.
WESTMINSTER
The Westminster vault is built with a unique Gothic arch window design and an inner liner that simulates fine, imported marble. Average weight is 2,150 lbs., $1,350 plus tax and installation.
BRENTWOOD
Our most popular lined vault, the Brentwood features a seamless polystyrene liner designed to interlock the arched lid and sturdy body of the vault. Average weight 2,150 lbs., $1,050 plus tax and installation.
MARK III
The Mark III design is Chapel Hill’s most basic protective vault. It encompasses many of the design elements of the Brentwood without the polystyrene liner. Average weight 2,000 lbs., $700 plus tax and installation.
Remember….Only a vault purchased directly through the Chapel Hill office helps support the long-term care of the cemetery. Vaults can be pre-selected and pre-paid through Chapel Hill. All contracts are guaranteed and all funding is audited annually by the State of Illinois. Chapel Hill offers 36 months to pay with no finance charges on all cemetery pre-arrangements.
We actively support our local community. All vaults sold by Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens are manufactured in Freeport, Illinois by Tribute Precast Systems, LLC
